- An international conference is being held in January of each year under the supervision of Prof. Dr. / Minister of Scientific Research in which specialized professors from home and abroad are invited.
- Each year More than 1000 doctors attend the conference from Egypt and outside the Republic.

- The 14th Annual International Meeting of Research Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO) was held from 22 to 24 January 2020 at Hilton Heliopolis Hotel, Cairo, Egypt.
- The theme of our conference this year was “Cornea & Oculoplasty contemporary practice”.
- A highly selective international ophthalmologist Professors team enriched the scientific program by addressing several controversial and challenging subjects and situations through lectures, symposia, panel discussions, video presentations and interactive sessions. All this is in addition to instructive courses and wet labs.
- An exhibition area presented the most updated surgical and pharmaceutical equipment in the field.
- Session about Artificial Intelligence in Ophthalmology was held in collaboration and sponsored by: Euro Advanced Technologies.
